Men of the Bible: Apostle John
John the Apostle the son of Zebedee and the younger brother of James (James the Greater). Among Jesus’ apostles, John appeared to be Jesus’ closest friend here on earth. The Holy Bible records 5 books in the New Testament that he penned:

John was the only apostle who did not die a martyrs death. Records show that he died of old age on the Isle of Patmos.

"When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom He loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith He to the disciple, Behold thy mother!
And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home." John 19:26-27
