In January 2018, the U.S. Senate had the opportunity to enact moderate restrictions on the murder of the unborn human babies known as 'abortion.' The Pain-Capable Unborn Child [here] Protection Act would have prohibited late-term abortions after 20 weeks when strong scientific evidence indicates unborn babies can feel pain. The bill had strong public support, and it would have made American abortion laws similar to those nations in Europe BANNING LATE TERM ABORTION. The U.S. is one of only seven nations that lawfully permits elective abortions after 20 weeks. The U.S. House passed the bill, but when it moved to the U.S. Senate, it failed.
