Famous NFL Quarterback Now Playing MLBaseball for the NY Mets - Tough first game in Spring Training
3-8-17, NYPost -- Why Tim Tebow is good for baseball
PORT ST. LUCIE Florida Spring Training — Tim Tebow's first major league action in the NY Mets’ 8-7 spring training win over the Red Sox at First Data Field before a sellout crowd of 6,538. He hasn't played baseball since high school twelve years ago. Go ahead, make all the Tebow-doesn’t-belong jokes you want, but say this for the Mets’ grand Tebow experiment and marketing scheme: The hulking Tebow is making baseball fun again.
In his first outing as designated hitter ... striking out looking twice and making a base-running mistake, getting doubled off first with the bases loaded and no out on a line drive to second. His only path to first was being hit by a pitch. Tim did get baseball’s first recorded standing ovation for hitting into that double play, but, hey, a run scored on the play.
Tim Tebow Foundation | Bringing Faith, Hope and Love
Our mission is to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.
Note: I for one will be rooting for the Mets this year as our brother in Christ, Tim Tebow, will be sharing our Lord Jesus with everyone he can. He needs our prayers. -- Annette
