Union Pacific Curtails Fertilizer Shipments, Delaying Deliveries and Preventing New Rail Orders from Being Taken - CF Industries had to decrease shipments by a whopping 20% |
4-14-22, Union Pacific rail recently informed customer USA CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CF), the world's largest fertilizer company of hydrogen and nitrogen products that railroad-mandated shipping reductions would result in nitrogen fertilizer shipment delays during the spring application season and that it would be unable to accept new rail sales involving Union Pacific for the foreseeable future. The Company understands that it is one of only 30 companies to face these restrictions. CF Ind ships to customers via Union Pacific rail lines primarily from its Donaldsonville Complex in Louisiana and its Port Neal Complex in Iowa. | The rail lines serve key agricultural areas such as Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas and California. Products that will be affected include nitrogen fertilizers. Tony Will, president and chief executive officer of CF Industries reported: “CF Industries’ North American manufacturing network continues to produce at a high rate to meet the needs of customers, farmers and consumers. We urge the federal government to take action to remove these Union Pacific rail shipment restrictions to ensure this vital fertilizer will be able to reach U.S. farmers when and where they need it.” More here |
4-25-22, Ole Joe Biden's handlers have created the perfect storm of calamity barely one year into his term. More here from Natural News [Note: Russia has restricted it's shipments of fertilizer so many are blaming Russia - but why restrict USA providers?] | Apparently the UP is backed up on shipments and as a result, they're restricting "private car" shipments (i.e. not UP equipment) by almost 20%. We were already struggling with fert logistics coming into spring. This doesn't help at all... -- Josh Linville, director of fertilizer at StoneX, | 4-15-22 - In response to record-high fertilizer costs and tight supply, some farmers have already transitioned millions of acres from corn to soybeans this year (soybeans require very little fertilizer versus corn). -- More from Zero Hedge |
4-24-22, Henry says: "Keeping fertilizer out of the hands of farmers is essential to Xi-den's plan to keep food off the shelves, institute rationing and make the population even more subservient to their "betters" in the Democrat hierarchy. They get better results telling it to a stump [for next election??]." More here and here
Recently a tweet from Douglas Karr, the founder of the businesses blog Martech Zone, made the point that "media isn't even warning you" a food crisis in America is emerging. Here: www.zerohedge.com/commodities/media-isnt-warning-you-america-careening-towards-food-crisis
