Utah: Brianhead Fire near 71,000 acres; crews brace
7-8-17, The Brianhead Southern Utah fire apparently began June 17, 2017 by a person burning weeds in his yard. So far 13 homes destroyed. The 1,500 residents initially evacuated have since returned to their homes.

British Columbia's Wildfire Service said authorities declared a provincial state of emergency due to more than 200 wildfires. About 7,000 people have been forced from their homes, CBC News reported. The fires have been fueled by hot and dry weather conditions. No deaths have been reported.
