Not ‘All Americans’ Are ‘Proud That We Have More Women in the Workforce than Ever Before’![]() 2-11-19, * -- In his State of the Union address, President Trump announced, “All Americans can be proud that we have more women in the workforce than ever before.” It was one of the few times he received a standing ovation from both Democrats and Republicans; I would not have stood and cheered. Getting women to leave homemaking for the workplace has been one of the central goals of modern feminism; who considers women who eschew a career to take care of their home, their children and their husband to be less than women who place a career first. They have been brainwashed! We know why Democrats cheer; they want women to eschew homemaking and time with children in favor of work outside the house; but why did conservative Republicans stand up and cheer? They’re afraid of being depicted as ‘sexist’ and ‘misogynist.’ Believe it or not, there are still many women and men who do not agree women are better off out earning a living with a career than staying home with their children. When a woman works outside the home, devoting full time to home and family is impossible. So, yes, more women than ever are in the workplace; but before we stand and cheer, it is worth asking: 1. Are women happier today? 2. Are families doing better today? 3. Are marriages happier with wives at home or in the workplace? 4. Do young people grow up happier and better-adjusted with mothers at home or with mothers in the workplace? 5. Is society’s emphasis on work and career inhibiting more young women from marrying and having children? 6.Is society better off or worse off when a record number of women leave home to enter the workplace? ![]() Many Feminists admit many women work outside of the home not because they want to, but because they have no choice: they have to support themselves, their household and/or their children. Why should we be proud of that? In 2017 report nearly 75 million women were in the American civil workforce. It’s inconceivable that 75 million women want to be in the workforce. So, again, why all the cheering? *Excerpted and adapted full report from Dennis Prager here *** Women, work, husbands and children; the return of the stay-at-home mother 4-19-14, The Economist -- The increase of stay-at-home mothering sits oddly with a second big trend affecting women’s lives: their relative success in the labor market = their so called 'careers.' In 1967 the share of mothers who did not work outside the home stood at 49%; by the turn of the millennium it had dropped to just 23%. According to new data crunched by the Pew Research Center, the proportion of stay-at-home mothers has been rising steadily for the past 15 years. Women have found it's expensive to work outside the home and her salary wasn't that big a help to the budget; she is worn out and nobody was happy. More here Comments are closed.
