February 11, 2019, 40 Year Anniversary
Crowds screaming “Death to America” & “Death to Israel” Islamic Revolution
2-1-19, TimesofIsrael -- Iran celebrating the 40th anniversary of the country’s Islamic Revolution that toppled the US-backed shah. The Feb 11, 1979 revolution overturned 2,500 years of monarchical rule and brought hard-line Shiite clerics to power; a civilization based on rage and hate.

2-1-19, Iranian followers of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini chased the Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi from Iran. On February 11, 1979, Iranian loyalists and misguided foreign policymakers didn't make the right decision when Iran’s general staff declared the neutrality of the armed forces and troops are ordered back to their barracks, guaranteeing the Islamic Revolution’s success.

The Shah, wife and family were exiled with death sentences on their heads. Asylum was granted in Egypt for awhile, then Morocco, the Bahamas, Mexico and Switzerland where the Shah was under medical care for cancer. In October 1979 US Pres Jimmie Carter accepted him into the USA. He eventually went back to Egypt where - at age 60 -  he on July 27, 1980 died near the Nile river at Aswan Egypt.

March 26, 1979 Israel-Egyptian peace agreement signed ... ending three decades of hostilities between Egypt and Israel establishing diplomatic and commercial ties.

Then two years later the Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat was assassinated. 

In 1981 Islamic extremists killed Anwar Sadat in Cairo. Sadat made bold decisions especially in foreign affairs; his reputation was largely based on his decision in 1977 to journey to the camp of Egypt’s foe, the Jewish state of Israel, to make peace that was signed in 1979.

• Mohammad Reza Shah died in July 27, 1980.
• Shahbanu Farah, wife and kids settled in US she is still alive.
• Son Reza II Pahlavi, is alive.
• Daughter Shahnaz Pahlavi, is alive.
• Son Alireza committed suicide on 4 January 2011.
• Daughter Leila committed suicide on 10 June 2001.

INF Weapons Treaty with Russia: 31 years in June 2019 - CANCELLED

U.S. Withdrawing from INF long range weapons treaty with Russia
The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) of weapons of intermediate & shorter range missiles between the United States and Soviet Union (now Russian Federation) was signed in Washington, D.C. by President Ronald Reagan and Soviet General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev and approved by the United States Senate and ratified on June 1, 1988.

On February 1, 2019, the US Sec of State Mike Pompeo announced that the U.S. is pulling out of the INF treaty with Russia as Russia has violated it. Not the first time the USA and other nations have complained that Russia was in violation; only Pres Trump is strong enough to actually DO something about it. Technically, a U.S. withdrawal would take effect six months after this week's notification, leaving a small window for saving the treaty. The treaty would be in place 31 years on June 1, 2019. More here
