They say it will improve old people’s lives – but in reality, it will give everyone the excuse to write them off. Once upon a time growing old possessed the positive connotation of gaining maturity and wisdom. [Ecclesiastes 1:18; Job 12:12] However, too often in current western society rarely is old age assciated with any positive attributes. At best, the elderly are dismissed as out of date and irrelevant people, whose archaic views ought to be ignored. At worst, the elderly are demonized and scapegoated for robbing the young of their future and condemned for being responsible for the environmental crisis facing the world.
From thirty prestigious universities like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Cambridge Imperial and UCL – experts have decided that ageing is no longer a normal feature of life. They want the WHO to classify ageing as a disease. This diseasing of old age represents another blow to the respected status of the elderly.
Being a "senior citizen' is already considered to be an unattractive and undesirable stage of life. The call to diagnose ageing as a form of illness will merely enhance its negative image.

2-17-20, * -- I love the fact that God has appointed times. The problem we have regarding the return of Christ to take us and His second coming is because we fail to understand the sovereignty of God in appointing times. Therefore, because He promised and He's the same yesterday, today and forever; because He does not change - we believe all His promises. Many have already been fulfilled. ONE huge one is that the Savior Jesus came, died, arose from the dead and all who repent and believe on Him will have eternal life with Him. Halleluah! [Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; John 3:16; and Galatians 4:4-5]

And He has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings." Also Habakkuk 2:3 "For the vision of yet an appointed time." There is an appointed time. God will do it. Among all the realities of life, one of our least favorite things for us to do is wait. We often express our excitement about something by saying; I "can't wait" for this or that. Each year many say: "I can't wait for Christmas," or some say "I can't wait to go on vacation." While the expression is one of anticipation and excitement, the truth is, waiting is a part of life including waiting for God's appointed times. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength …” Isaiah 40:31
The word "wait" in Isaiah 40:31 means; to bind together. Solomon painted a good picture for us of what being "bound together" with the Lord looks like; Ecclesiastes 4:12 “Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
In the depths of despair of King David's cry to the Lord, we see him "binding himself" together with the Lord. [Psalm 13:1] He does so by trusting in God's mercy, rejoicing in God's salvation, singing to the Lord for His wonderful bounty. These are all things that we also can do, as none of them were specific to David's role as King or David or being a Jew. That means as we wait for the prodigals in our lives to come home or our circumstances to change, we too can bind ourselves to the Lord and renew our strength while we wait. [Isaiah 40:31]

Many people sit in churches and all they hear is love, love, love and nothing about sin and repentance. When they go out and find a true believer who explains about salvation thru repentance of sin and faith in Christ; they say, “Jesus preached only about love; you’re wrong!” False converts sitting under a false teacher hate real Christians because the true message has been adulterated causing hate of truth. Mystery surrounds who Mr. Valentine really was. He was probably a priest martyred in 269 AD at Rome. Among Roman Catholics, he is called the patron saint of affianced couples, beekeepers, epilepsy, fainting, greetings, happy marriages, love, lovers, plague, travelers, and young people. He is one busy (and confused) man!
In the Western world, the emphasis is on human expressions of love and friendship. That is certainly important and, when guided by the biblical principles, a godly ardor worth commemorating.
Here are a few guidelines to remember this season:
The objective of every kind of biblical “love” is stated in Paul’s prayer for the Philippian church: “And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. However, the only reason that “human dignity” exists is that God–the author of the Bible–made man in His image. Without God, there can be no inherent value to human life at all. The crazy case in the U.K. involved a self-proclaimed “transgender” [homosexual] man who wanted his doctor to refer to using objectively incorrect pronouns of the opposite sex. Citing Genesis 1:27, though, which states the fact that God created people male and female, Dr. David Mackereth refused to play along with the delusion. Of course, Romans 1:27 makes clear that certain truths–the fact:
In his court filings with the Employment Tribunal, Dr. Mackereth said he “holds to the principles of the Great Reformation of the 16th Century including a commitment to the supremacy of the Bible as the infallible, inerrant word of God as his final authority in all matters of faith and practice.” | The good doctor argued that authorities discriminated against him and his religious beliefs. However, the court ruled that “belief in Genesis 1:27, lack of belief in transgenderism and conscientious objection to transgenderism in our judgment are incompatible with human dignity.” (2 Timothy 4:2-3) The court also claimed that adhering to one’s belief in the Bible would “conflict with the fundamental rights of others, specifically here, transgender individuals.”And so, unable to play along with the patient’s dangerous and objectively false delusion, Dr. Mackereth lost his job at the Dept for Work and Pensions. The Christian Legal Center that represented Dr. Mackereth warned that the ruling against the Bible and Christians would have “serious ramifications” for Christian professionals and all others.“The judgment dictates the language that professionals must use in the workplace. The ruling contradicts scientific reality and will undermine freedom of speech." It was not immediately clear whether doctors might also be forced to play along with the dangerous delusions of bulimics and anorexics–potentially even to the point of being forced to provide liposuction. But that would be just as reasonable, or just as ridiculous, depending on one’s views on truth and reality. Pride may be the favorite tool of Satan; it was the reason Satan rebelled and lost his exalted position with God (Isaiah 14:13-14). In the Garden Satan appealed to Eve’s pride (Genesis 3:6) and uses it on us today. Be warned! “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” (James 4:6). “Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall” (1 Corinthians 10:12).
Through the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul chose to introduce the use of spiritual gifts and unity of the entire body with a warning against pride, admonishing “every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). His discussion on the many-membered body [Romans 12:4-5] leaves no room for pride; nor does the parallel passage in 1 Corinthians 12:12-31.
Each Christian with gifts for their particular duties form an equally essential part of the whole church body. Since we are all equal in God’s eyes, and all mutually dependent upon one another what room is there for pride? Isaiah 2:12; Psalm 131:1; Matthew 23:12; James 4:6
Paul also points out that each Christian possesses an equally vital connection with Christ. Who are we to tell Christ a part of His body is less valuable than the rest? He is concerned for each one equally.
“For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory?” (1 Corinthians 4:7). Source
